Bang Pa In Palace
Ayuttaya
Chiang Mai and Songkran
I've got some videos that I'll see if are of any interest, they just take forever to upload. And since it's so damn hot, I can just feel my laptop aging in the heat as it patiently uploads files. I need to buy a cooling mat for it.

Here's where I'm staying, second from the left.

Inside:
It's not bad, but as it lacks a kitchen I'm limited and have to eat my phone (that was a typo and I meant food but it's too funny to edit out) outside to prevent crumbs from attracting insects. I have no plates and such so any food I do bring back I have to eat like I'm on a road trip (weird, desperate meals).
At the driveway front there's a 7-11esque little shop I can buy basic necessities which is convenient because the walk to the main drag takes me about 10 minutes. But once there I still have to hoof it for awhile.
Rob showed me the school today and I picked up the books I'll be using and some other useful items. Tomorrow is his birthday and he's invited me to go north with him to Mae Sai to celebrate with some of his friends. Friday he's going to help me look at motorbikes. Can't wait to get one so I can pickup things I need easily.
It's not the best nor the worst situation, but it all keeps me from feeling settled since I have to plan in advance what I want to do and don't have a bike. I could rent one, but I'll be getting one in a few days anyway.
I'm starting to ramble, but I've got nothing better to do so
how much is it to buy a bike and like i said in my previous comment, there aren't any dudes selling gas out of bottles off the side of the roads?
ReplyDeletei rented a moped for 24 hrs for like 200 baht and it was super quick. got up to about 55mph on it
